Rebuilding My Library

I have started to buy a book or two every pay day to start and rebuild my personal library. Years and years ago before the boys were born I had a huge collection of books but got rid of them. I have done the same thing over the years but downsized because of moving and just changes in my reading itself.

So this weekend here is my newest ones.

Stalking Jack The Ripper was my first book then I continued on down the aisle of books and came across The Wicked Deep. I just couldn't resist picking it up as well. Then when I got home and was looking at them more closely I discovered that Stalking Jack The Ripper had a sneak peek of Hunting Prince Dracula by the same author which is another book I will be adding to the collection.

I got the 2nd book in hard cover so I took off the dust jacket and beneath it found this
I absolutely fell in love. That was such a cool surprise to find. I cant wait to delve into these books.

Stalking Jack The Ripper is about a woman who actually falls in love with Jack. The Wicked is about 3 girls that get accused of witchcraft, are drowned and curse the town. They come back and take over the bodies of 3 girls and lure boys to their deaths by drowning them. But of course there is a girl who can break the curse, so we'll see.

Masters Of Manhattan

New from Jane Henry & Maisy Archer book trailer.

BLURB:
Sabrina: Good guys save the day and criminals go to jail. It’s not rocket science, people.
But then my father’s killed, I’m rescued by a thief, and my worldview is shattered. He takes me to his penthouse. His bed. I don’t have to like it but I can’t help it. His touch is everything a good girl like me shouldn’t want.
Anson: Good and bad mean nothing to a master thief. I take what I want, and what I want is vengeance. No more, no less.
Maybe the girl can help, so I’ll hide her. Protect her. And if I have to manhandle her to keep her quiet, she’ll deal. Hell, she might even like it. But she’ll learn fast that I make the rules.

Coming soon.....

This was just the beginning.

DragonFly

Trailer
I am a huge Kevin C. fan. I have seen just about every movie the man has made. But this one I hadn't seen even though it came out in 2002. It is definitely a chick flick kind of movie. Hubby watched bits and pieces of it with me.

I think one of my favorite characters from this movie was the little nun, literally, lol.

It has an unexpected ending which is quite endearing,

I am giving it a 5 star rating.

The Shape Of Water

Elisa is a mute, isolated woman who works as a cleaning lady in a hidden, high-security government laboratory in 1962 Baltimore. Her life changes forever when she discovers the lab's classified secret -- a mysterious, scaled creature from South America that lives in a water tank. As Elisa develops a unique bond with her new friend, she soon learns that its fate and very survival lies in the hands of a hostile government agent and a marine biologist.

This movie sounds interesting doesn't it. But it has a cast of all B budget actors and actresses. The creature reminded me more of the Creature From The Black Lagoon. I didnt mind the fact that the actress played a mute but she can't act.

I was sorely disappointed in this movie. I have heard people rave about it, really why? I wasted my money renting this movie. It wasn't worth the money or the time I sat down watching it.

Justice League

Trailer

I dont know much about cyborg, flash in the marvel universe. I do know about Batman, Wonder Woman and Aguaman. I thought they made Flash a little too young for this role but it kinda works. Cyborg was an interesting mix of man and machine.

I absolutely cant wait for them to make Aquaman a movie of his own. I want to see this character more fleshed out, explained and explored along with his under water world.

It was action packed, fast paced movie. I wont reveal the spoiler.

I truly like the actress who lays Wonder Woman. She plays it with dignity. She was the right pick for it. I am so glad they didn't give it to Megan Fox because if they had I wouldn't have watched Wonder Woman or The Justice League. Megan Fox just can't act. She is a B budget actress.

I will be adding this movie to my collection.

Ferdinand The Bull

I rented this, this afternoon while the grand daughters were over to see it but even if they hadn't been nana was going to rent it anyways, lol.

This was an adorable movie. The cast of characters were just that interesting and there was never a dull moment in the movie. You've heard the old expression dont act like a bull in a china shop well Ferdinand is a bull in the china shop lol. I think kids of all ages will like this movie. It will be one I will add to the collection.

Rating: 5 Stars

Thor Ragnarok

I have always been a fan of Thor. I absolutely love Loki. The first 2 movies were top notch.

This movie does have a lot of action. It is a fast paced moving movie.

But rating it from a 1-5 stars. I give it a 2.5 star rating.

They had a good plot and messed it up. They tried to make it a comedy instead of an action movie and the two didnt mix very well. I thought Hela's character should have been more fleshed out. And the extra that they bought into the story line, her character was weak and actually what they had her doing in this movie was degrading.

This movie had such great potential and they let it flop.

Soulless

Title: Soulless
Author: T. M. Frazier
Genre: Dark Erotic Romance
Publisher: Amazon
Series: King
Pages: 277
Format: Audio Book
Rating: 5 stars

Book Description:
Sacrifice. LOYALTY. FAMILY.

Bear wants to bend the metal bars of his jail cell
with his bare hands and escape. Not because of the
men on the inside who want him dead, but because
Thia is out there where he can’t protect her.

Thia isn’t the type of girl to wait around to be rescued,
especially when she has some rescuing to do of her very own.

Bear and Thia are in for a fight, not only for their lives,
but for their love.

SOULLESS is book FOUR in the KING SERIES and the finale to LAWLESS.

My Thoughts:
Secrets upon secrets. Soulless is anything but soulless. This book is like the first three in the series, knee deep intertwined with all the other characters that there really isn't any beginning or end to the action, the mystery, the danger, and hot sex that rolls through the pages just like the bikes these men ride hard. This book has kept me hooked from beginning to end. And even though this book is over the characters and their stories will forever be a part of my soul.

Lawless

Title: Lawless
Author: T. M. Frazier
Genre: Dark Erotic Romance
Publisher: Create Space
Series: King
Pages:308
Format: Audio
Rating: 5 stars

Book Description:
Ruined. BROKEN. LOST. Thia’s lost it all. With no options left she turns to the biker she met as a kid to cash in the favor he swore to return all those years ago. Bear’s best friend is dead. His old man wants to put him to ground. He has bigger things on his mind than the pink-haired girl from the gas station he never thought he’d see again. Until her battered body is tossed onto his doorstep. Keeping his promise to Thia means Bear has to be willing to risk everything, including his life...and what’s left of his heart. Thia’s bruised and battered. Bear’s leather and lawless. It will never work between them. It’s a lie they ALMOST believe LAWLESS is book THREE in the King Series and meant to be read after KING & TYRANT.

My Thoughts:
Is it possible for 2 broken people to find happiness? A boy who grows into a bear of a man, lawless, who lives by his own rules.

Thia a young woman who has grown old before her time. If Fate had, had her way her life would have been over before it ever began.

Will what they have delicately built come crashing down around both their heads or will they both make it out alive? Will love conquer all?

I have devoured this series and am always satisfied but left wanting more of what T. M. Frazier has to offer in her unique way of story telling.

This book does have possible triggers though.

Michael Mills

Tombstone read: Michael Adam Mills beloved son and brother.

I stood at his grave unsure what to say. It had been a couple of years since my last visit but I had to talk to someone.

"Bro, what am I going to do? I went home. Now, I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have. Not only is Abby still there but I have found out her deepest, darkest secret. One I'm not sure I can ever forgive her for."

The wind whistled through the trees. It's cool fingers tracing over his skin.

"You were always there for me even when we were little."

Other visitors wandered around Greenwood cemetery. Sometimes he wished he had never went on the road with the band because he'd lost touch with everything and everyone he had once known. He thought he had known Abby. He never thought she would ever keep something like that from him.

"A part of me wants to confront her, demand why in the hell she didn't tell me. Then another part of me is afraid of what that answer truly might be let alone why. Oh hell Michael, this would be so much easier if you weren't gone. I miss you bro."

Abby Worthington

Abby never thought she would see him again. And now she wished that she hadn't. Oh yes, she knew exactly who it was on that motorcycle setting outside the boutique. Granted he was older but she would have recognized Alex anywhere.

What in the hell is he doing back here? Why is he here? How in the hell did he find out where I work? There was no denying how good he looked. It hadn't helped when Nicole said she would go after him. Abby had wanted to throttle her right where she stood.

Her heart thumped against her chest like a wild animal wanting to get away. She wasn't ready to face him yet. She wasn't ready to tell him he had a daughter, a daughter she had been successfully raising all on her own.

"What's wrong Abby, you look as if you have seen a ghost?" asked Mary as she bought over more articles of clothing for the manikins to wear.

"I think I have."

"Isn't that Alex Mills?"

"The one and only."

"You talk as if you know him?" Mary laid the first scarf around the manikins neck.

"He was my first true love."

"Oh wow, that is something."

"It was once upon a time ago."

"Why don't you go ahead and clock out early. There's only an hour left before closing and if we get busy Nicole can help me."

"Thank you Mary."

Second Chances

Abby looked out the shop window and cursed under her breath. "What is he doing here?"

"Oh girlfriend, if you dont go with him I will !" Nicole stared after Abby as they both ogled the man on the bike.

"Don't even think about it. That's Lyric's dad."

"Holy shit !" Nicole fanned herself. "And you let him get away?"

"He was more interested in himself than he was becoming a family man. I had to worry about Lyric."

"Well, he's here that's got to mean something."

"No, it doesn't because I never told him about Lyric and I don't want him to know, understand?"

"I understand but he may not if he finds out he has a daughter you never told him about."

"Kind of hard when he was busy traveling all over the country in his brothers rock band."

Alex Mills

I know I fucked up. And knowing my luck she will probably not want to talk to me. Can't say I blame her. I left without looking back or even saying goodbye. He closed his eyes and prayed to whatever powers to be there was that Abby would give him a second chance.

A second chance to what? To hurt her? To crucify her? To break her heart all over again? At the age of sixteen all he saw were stars literally when his brothers band Crow Everlasting asked him to be their bass guitar player. Even their parents didn't like it but Michael had promised them that he would still get Alex through school. After all he was family wasn't he? But deep down in his heart he knew his parents didn't believe Michael no matter how badly they wanted to.

Alex had always been a strong willed child. Alex had always been one that had to learn things the hard way. Life had been no exception. That is until Michael's fatal accident that had not only taken his life but ended the band. After Michael died Alex wanted nothing to do with the band, music industry. Instead he had left California with just the money in his pocket and rode as far as that would take him.

He had settled down in a small town called Mason Falls where he learned construction. He enjoyed working with his hands, building something that would out last his lifetime. And along the way he had grown up, he had matured. Now if only he could make Abby to see the man he had become and not the boy who had left her devastated.

He didn't realize how much he had missed Tower Mills until he had came back. It was almost as if he had never left. His father had lived here his whole life. One of his great grandfathers had founded the town back in the early 1600s. He had ran into Abby's mom by accident and she had been so nice as to inform him her unmarried daughter worked at the local clothing boutique.

Alex hadn't planned on staying but when he found out Abby still lived here and was still single he couldn't bring himself to leave. It was like Fate had decided to give him another chance. After all these years apart Alex had never forgotten Abby. He had never actually stopped caring for her.

King

Title: King
Author: T. M. Frazier
Series: King
Publisher: Self Published
Genre: Dark Erotic Romance
Pages:323
Rating :5 Stars

Book Description:
Homeless. Hungry. Desperate.

Doe has no memories of who she is or where she comes from.

A notorious career criminal just released from prison, King is someone you don’t want to cross unless you’re prepared to pay him back in blood, sweat, sex or a combination of all three.

King’s future hangs in the balance. Doe’s is written in her past. When they come crashing together, they will have to learn that sometimes in order to hold on, you have to first let go.

King is the first book in a two part series. Tyrant is the name of the second book and it is available now.

My Thoughts:
This is unlike any other MC Biker romance I have ever read. I wasn't so sure I would like it let alone finish it but after I got past the unconventional beginning I was hooked. The characters are unapologetic for who they are, how they live their lives. There is sarcasm at every turn. There is triggers so if you have any I wouldn't read this series.

My reactions to the characters even made my husband interested in what I was reading. There were times I laughed out loud, gasped at what was taken place upon the page. The plot is fast moving. This is the first book in this series. And if you dont read it, you will be lost in the following book of Tyrant.

T. M. Frazier has become a new favorite author of mine.
