Shy Girls Write It Better

Absolutely loved this book. It had me laughing so many times throughout this book. And moments where my mouth literally dropped open. Definitely a % star read.

Sticky

The ground
stuck to her shoes like a sticky bubble gum, each time she raised her
foot to move forward she could hardly lift it but her need to reach the
house was great. I have to reach it. I have to have her help. She is the
only one capable of doing such magic. The swamps are filled with
stories, darkness, and horrifying tales but this time she was glad the
stories were true. Eliza didn't care what price she had to pay for the
old healers help she would gladly give it a hundred times over if
necessary to save the person she loved the most.

On A Coloring Streak

This is from Dragons and Other magically Mythical Creatures by Camilla Derrico and colored with Soucolor pencils.

This is a buddy color done with a woman from my Facebook group in Mythogoria Darkest Desires by Fabiania A. also done with Soucolor pencils.

And from the same group another buddy colorist I did this one from the same book above.

Bad Movie

I watched this not only from a fans point of view but that of a writer. This movie SUCKED! You could tell it was just thrown together with no real plot or thought to it.

The only right thing this movie did was explain why Dante was after Dom and everyone he knew.

There were parts that you could tell was just thrown in as Fillers. It was so disjointed and then it left you on a cliff hanger ending. Of course the next movie, part 2 of this one of course will explain how the people who should be dead made it out alive, how the bad man made his escape without dying and of course how Dom and his son, themselves managed to survive a bursting dam.

I love action in a movie but it has to fit the story and not try to be the story all on its own. It don't work that way.  There is a lot of action but it can't carry the movie. And I was sorely disappointed in Jason M. performance. You couldn't tell whether he was straight or gay, which normally I wouldn't care on that part but it was so over the top acting that it just made me cringe.

All this movie is, is a bunch of action scenes and quite literally blow ups which no one should be able to survive but they do and will for part 2 that is coming. Needless to say I will not be watching part 2 when it comes out.

If I would have went to the theater to watch this I would have been demanding my money back. If it was a book I had been reading I would have thrown it across the room several times. They should have ended this series a long time ago with Tokyo Drift and after Paul Walker died that should have been the last.

I was so pissed off at the end of this movie because it was so badly put together, the characters I like and have enjoyed through several good movies made themselves look like idiots. If you haven't seen this movie consider yourself lucky.

Time Well Spent

Yesterday, I went and spent time with family, had some much needed girl time and got to see some of my grand-kids. I was in dire need of some female company and just a good ole chat session about anything and everything.

It was sweet cause they even bought me lunch which was unexpected but fun. I love all the men and boys in my life but sometimes a woman just needs to spend time in the company of other women. And the drive there and back by myself did me some good. It allowed me to clear my head.

I hope we can do much more of it in the future.

Dark Destiny

Horrorprompts 8 Passageway
Lucy hung back. She didn't want to go any further.

"What are you afraid of?"

She
pointed ahead of them at the dark passageway. This is where her world
always went dark. She'd never been able to go beyond this point in her
nightmares. And now to find out that this house, this passageway
actually existed had her creeped out to say the least.

"Lucy, you have nothing to fear. I've been here with you the whole way. Im not going to leave you now. "

"Promise?"

"Yes, I promise."

Taking
Charles hand and a deep breath they stepped into the unknown darkness.
Not sure what they would find they moved forward one step at a time. A
breeze rustled her hair , there was a dampness in the air.

"Oh my god," muttered Charles as they stared out into the decrepit graveyard. "How in the hell did we get here?"

Gravestones
littered the dark green landscape in cased by a wrought-iron fencing
barely standing it was so old. In the distance there was movement but
Charles couldn't make it out. He swung around but the house was gone.
There was no passageway to go back through. He felt her hand slip from
his grasp just as his mind was losing its grip on reality.

"Luc...,"
the words died in his throat as he watched the woman he loved enter the
skeleton embrace of a dark robed figure. Charles crumpled to his
knees, tears falling down his face. He knew in that moment that he'd
never see his beloved Lucy again.

Poison HorrorPrompt #7

Lacey held the small glass vial. The contents shimmered within, enticing her to sample just a small sip.
Could she force herself to do it again? How many times had she taken this route? Too damn many to count.

Sighing, she uncorked the bottle. Maybe next time she wouldn't be forced to this extreme, maybe next time he would actually find her, claiming her for his own.

Why hadn't he waited? Why must she always be the one to start the cycle over? It wasn't fair.
But no matter how many lifetimes she had experienced one thing remained true, a sure consistent, life never played fair.

The colorful liquid coated her throat. It would only be a matter of time and the poison would do its work. This time though Lacey embraced the darkness, opened her arms wide welcoming the void like a long lost lover.

Death, oh such sweet death.
