The Fight

"You can't tell me what to do !"

"I can and I will !"

"I am your mate not your child. Or have you forgotten that I am the Alpha female of this pack?" She glared at him refusing to back down. There wasn't an ounce of fear in her.

"If you don't listen to me neither will the pack. And if they turn on me they will turn on you."

"Maybe then it's time to remain in human form."

"Impossible!" Such a thing was unheard of. No one over the centuries had denied their true self to remain human. Besides it couldn't be done.

"Watch me!"

The Book Club

Trailer

BlurbDiane (Diane Keaton) is recently widowed after 40 years of marriage, Vivian (Jane Fonda) enjoys her men with no strings attached, Sharon (Candice Bergen) is still working through her decades-old divorce, and Carol's (Mary Steenburgen) marriage is in a slump after 35 years. The lives of these four lifelong friends are turned upside down after reading the infamous "50 Shades of Grey," catapulting them into a series of outrageous life choices.

I went and seen this tonight with my 2 future DILs and we had a blast watching it. This movie is definitely one of the best chick flicks I have seen in a very long time. I will be adding this to our collection of movies.

And the men who are their love interest is just great. Normally I would have went with Don Johnson who is Jane Fonda's love interest for the movie but honestly Andy Garcia had me all the way.

He was Diane K love interest. Him and Don were the hottest by far but I loved this movie. If you haven't went and seen it then you should. You wont be disappointed.

Caelen's Wife

Title: Caelen's Wife A Murmur Of Providence
Author: Suzan Tisdal
Series: Clan McDunnah
Publisher: Self Published
Format:Ebook
Pages:600
Rating: 4****Stars

Book Description: Rumor has it the water on Clan McPherson lands is magical…

Clan McPherson has known peace amongst their neighboring clans for more than one hundred years. That peace is threatened when Fiona McPherson is made chief after the death of her husband.

Known more for her fighting skills than her beauty, Fiona refuses the multiple proposals of marriage that begin to seemingly arise from nowhere. She may be the chief of her clan, but she’s still a woman. It isn’t Fiona they want, but her land and she’s willing to fight to the death to keep it.

Rumor has it Caelen McDunnah has lost his mind…

Called McDunnah, the chief of Clan McDunnah, has no desire to remarry. He’s perfectly content to still mourn the loss of his first wife and babe, even if it has been sixteen years. Until he meets the beautiful and feisty Fiona McPherson.

Known to start a fight out of sheer boredom or madness — no one is ever truly sure which — Caelen suddenly finds himself in the middle of battles he has no desire to fight, but fight them he will if it means he can have Fiona McPherson as his own.

There is always a wee bit of truth in every rumor.

My Thoughts:
Fiona is a little spitfire of a woman who is hard to control and harder to forget and Caelen learns this first hand. Caelen is a man as sturdy as the mountains he calls home, the reputation to back it. And yet he becomes putty in her hands.

I sped through their tale in 2 days time. I couldn't put it down. I was lost in the Highlands and in their story. I look forward to the rest of the books in this series.

Movies

A Wrinkle In Time

I had to read this book when I was in school for a English class. I enjoyed the book and have even added it to my library but the movie left me a bit disappointed. There was so much more that they could have done with it. I didn't mind the diversity in it but a lot of the characters were weak. I feel they downplayed it a lot, like the audience was too stupid to understand a complex theme.

2**

The Nanny

This was a b budget film but more interesting then the Wrinkle In Time movie. This one played on the old legends of the fae and even mixed in a bit about Pan but badly done. They used Pan for a scare factor that didn't really work well. This one could have also expanded their story line and made it better not only for the viewer but the movie. A lot of the movie felt rushed. I did enjoy it though.

Annihilation & Spoiler

Video Trailer

This is the strangest movie I have seen in a very long time. It's a thriller, mystery, sci-fi, horror all rolled into one. I enjoy watching Natalie Portman's movies and this is by no means a weak role for her but the supporting actors and actresses could have been much better. I would have loved to see more of the creatures in this film. I would have loved to find out why this race of beings were trying to take over our world. I would have enjoyed more interaction with this alien race because yes, while they were trying to take over our planet it wasn't the same as other alien invasion movies or plots twist.
