This movie was definitely worth watching but also a huge tear jerker.
It's about a little boy who loses his parents. He goes to live with his grandparents who the aunt has a problem with because the grandmother is Cherokee. And the little boy is named Little Tree. Well grandma and grandpa live back up in the hills and live off the land as much as possible. The aunt sends the child protection services to get her nephew away from them. He is forced to go to a orphanage for native american kids to make them white. This is a child who is always losing everything he holds dear but there is bright moments among the sorrow. But what I also liked about this movie is the fact that it did hold true to history in the ways that a mix breed person or a full blooded native american was at that time in history.
