Hubby and I watched this the other night. I wasn't sure what to expect from this as it bought in a lot of the marvel characters rather than just the Avengers themselves. I was actually very disappointed in this movie. I expected and was hoping for more than what I got but it was a thrown together movie. It's plot line was weak, characters were shotty. The story line wasn't well developed for any of them. Two of the characters I liked most were just plain jerks in this movie and another one was extremely shallow.
A third of the way into it I was rooting for the villain Thanos. I don't remember mention of this character before in any of the marvel movies although Iron Man Stark claims he has been in a previous one and basically mind fucked. And someone who should of been kicking ass the way through this movie was having a temper tantrum and refused to help. First once the villain comes out on top in a movie but he didn't win completely because he lost things he held dear to him and he was wounded.
You do get the chance to understand more of Gomorrah's life story which I really liked. There is a lot of action in this movie so you wont be disappointed there. But there is just so much more that could have been done with the roles of the characters, the plot and made it so much more satisfying. There is a part 2 coming out next year but I am not so sure I will bother watching it. Because rumor has it the ones who died in part 1 will be bought back to life imagine that. I am getting so tired of them bringing the dead back to life in these movies.
