I am glad I rented this on pay preview and didnt waste twenty buying it in stores. I love Johnny Depp but this movie shouldnt have been made. It sucked.
The only loose ends they tied up was how Jack became captain of The Black Pearl. And they bring Will home although if the very last scene is any indication this isnt the end of Will's story and Davey Jones Locker.
I didnt like that they bought in a daughter for Barbosa with no real reason behind it. And no woman of that age would have ever been able to learn astronomy self taught or otherwise. And this vendetta between Jack and the Spanish Captain was lame.
One of the best parts of the movie was Barbosa who saves his daughter but dies in the process. I was actually sad to see his role end in this movie series but I have a theory about that too.I hope he comes back as one of Davey Jones men.
The only other part I truly liked was them bringing Will home but then Orlando Bloom is eye candy either way you go but a bit of age looks good on him.
I bet not many stuck around to go all the way through the credits to see the secret scene of how Pirates will have another movie concentrating on Will. And if you pay close attention to it you see it wasnt just a nightmare that he had. There was water on the floor along with body parts.
Now if Disney does one on Will I will watch it but otherwise I am done with it.
