Silent Haunting

She stood transfixed. A chill danced over her flesh seizing hold of her heart. It was her. But that was impossible.

She had survived the virus that had cursed most of the world. And yet this tomb would have her believe otherwise. The commotion inside her head threatened to rob her of what little sanity remained after his disappearance.

The cold of the early morning dawn rose, swirled around her slender body leaving her to quake in the stark reality that even though she lived she might very well be dead. It was a reality she didn't want to think about but the virus had not only effected humans but the very fabric of time itself.

If she dare to open it, what would she find? Would she find it empty or herself cocoonedwithin it's deadly embrace?
